The watch part is relatively large, but not very hard. The unit makes a solid, sophisticated look, is well made and comfortable to wear. The control buttons on the watch part are smooth (there are often problems with other manufacturers). The non-removable wristband is adjustable over a wide range, divided the large display useful and easy to read. So everything is ok here.
Practically I find the possibility to shut down by a twist of the battery compartment with the supplied "key" the clock when you do not need more than a few days.
At least mechanically well done is also the chest strap: easy to adjust, disturbs or does not slip during extended use.
The menu system on the unit is easy to get used to. Sometimes two, sometimes all four buttons have the same function. I must in any case always exactly look on's display to identify which button will now have what effect. The on-screen function names has not translated into German by the way: "OFF", "ENTER", "BACK" ... but that's more of an aesthetic defect.
The setting of the personal values such as weight and maximum heart rate is still relatively easy even without manual. Annoying I find, however, that you have to start training and then press a button even further to get heart rate and time are displayed simultaneously.
The other time functions (stopwatch, countdown, alarm clock) are only accessible through a submenu a second display for time in vain. As a normal clock, the device is thus rather an emergency solution. Given this, it seems incomprehensible that one four button operations need to start exercising: even 2 seconds (any) one of the buttons, whereby the signal reception is activated, then the top three short right. (How to activate the lights, did not by the way tell me the manual The solution I have found by trial and error. You have to press the two lower buttons at the same time ...)
Slightly heavier than these small shortcomings weighs but for me that the watch sometimes quite easy to lose radio contact with the chest strap. In certain places this happens reproducibly. The PC 25.10 is probably quite sensitive to interference from other radio sources. (My Garmin Forerunner 305 has these problems, incidentally, does not.)
Conclusion:
Overall, a useful heart rate monitor, which brings the necessary functions for beginners. Price is the PC 25.10 but slightly above the entry-level. Because slight weaknesses in the operation and the occasional misfires I prefer, therefore, from two stars.
