After much back and forth and read numerous tests and reviewer have I let myself get a little crazy to be honest. Among my sources also include Traumflieger Pixel Peeper / DxO images and the known photography magazines along with div. Been photography books. The view of my colleague were included as well. Bottom line is that I went even to a store of my (and many professionals) confidence to test it. Concern made my statement vignetting and chromatic aberration. Now I realize that I want to use a super wide-angle and therefore still has to accept a certain physical condition but I am pleasantly surprised! The vignetting is on the camera not only noticed and LR5 on MAC she was visible but not annoying and can be easily corrected with LR5. Even as an effect it is well done. Decentering I do not have and on my question in business that would generally not a big issue at Canon. My camera is the Canon 6D and 7D which I use the effect on the 6D due to the full format. The 24.105L goes to the 7D and thus I cover all focal lengths from the need. The image quality is also top when compared serves me 24-105L the 70-200L the and the EF-S 15-85 (to 7D). My prime lenses 50 and 100Lmacro may NEN tick better but that was to be expected. The comparison with the 16-35 2.8 has triggered no light bulb moment for me and is absolutely also pricewise not relevant to me. In business I was told that many professionals with the 17-40 instead work from the 16-35 and my friend (a professional) photographer confirmed this. The 2.8er is especially in low light at an advantage being then but stronger vignetting plays a role, and it must be dimmed for better results. Outside in landscape and travel you go on EHR aperture 8-11 and it looks really good times from! When purchasing decision I have done something like me really hard time in a WalimexPro 8mm for the 7D half price. The images of both lenses are but really cool and come in the circle to super, because they offer a different perspective than the well-known material. In the first comparison with the 24-105, I was a bit disappointed with respect. Of focal differences in WW. I had hoped for more contrast but I am now after a few more shots disagreed and the effect of the WW is really awesome. Well, then - all good! Buy and joy have ;-)
