The device is the original - replace "Radio 9" in a Smart 451 - broken.
My request was merely (I hear audio books more often than long single file): MP3 from SD card, Playtime Resume, Off / On on ignition, Folder navigation, coils in MP3, smart motor drown, basic sound adjustment, battery in 'Off 'not leersaugen.
Relatively unimportant to me: Radio functionality, sound quality.
Conclusion: meets requirements.
Here are some data from testing "Mp3 from SD card":
+ Playtime Resume (plays as part of the MP3-VBR options up where you have turned off)
+ Folderskipping forward / backward (The directory names / numbers are not displayed, it will only increase the number corresponding to the number MP3 files in the folder, it will be jumped in order Aufspielens on the card and not in alphabetical order)
+ / Rewinds the MP3 possible (this is muted, you have to at the Playtime orient)
+ Track Skip-time for about 2 seconds,
+ All files on the SD are 3 digits numbered, I have what happens in more than 999 files are not tested; According to the description are max. 999 Files per SD card support,
+ Power consumption: ON - 305mA in play from SD with MUTE; SoftOff (turned on the radio, ignition still on) - 33mA; HardOff (Radio in the switched-on state of the ignition separated) - 1.1 mA,

The unit turns on in Smart (by reconnecting the ignition plus) with the ignition key off and on again (and retains all settings incl. Last playtime and time). If the ignition is off, but you can not turn on the unit there.
So, let's see how long the device by holding.

.... 27.09.2012 ... still works. Although keystrokes do not always come to the radio through, but who cares :). Oh, and the backlight means I have a black permanent marker to darken directly to the LED` ''s something there that had illuminated the whole car in the dark.
.... 20.01.2013 ... is still going. And what strikes me: MP3 Title are at the beginning and end about 1 second rather brutally shown / hidden, so that with hard cut-language pieces every now missing one ... two words.
.... 20/06/2014 ... is still going. The problems with keystrokes have spread to the volume control. I suppose then keep checking the cap off and put them on it again. Then it goes at least for the current ride again. Hopefully just a contact problem between the cap and Radio ... I have to work on time with the fiber optic pin.
