This is the second monitor by LG with 21: 9 format (previously LG 29EB73-P), which is with me, and even this has its strengths but it is also a few weaknesses. I use the screen as the Middle of 3 devices (22 inch 1920 x 1080p devices). Scope of supply: Delivered in a large package of the size of the panel. If you open this you will find in addition to a few instructions a lot of small screws and covers, as well as the stand. Power supply of more than sufficient length and an HDMI to HDMI cable with love. When assembled, the monitor is very fast and you have to fasten 3 screws only where a possible hand is (metal tab in the stand). The image quality The monitor offers a really good panels and for office use has these excellent properties. The resolution is sufficient as long as you are not directly sitting in front. Problems with the viewing angle or light / dark spots I have not. OSD The menu is controlled by a joystick, which can be really good use. Tap once to open from a speed dial with menu, reader, PBP and monitor. In the menu you will find then all possible options the colors adapt. Readers dims among others brightness and change the contrasts, so you can read at night better. One way to make the rules automatically by time does not exist, however, or I have overlooked. For this feature to fall for me really gone, because I do not want to constantly change - here helps me stop further flux of. PBP provides the ability for example, a console and a PC at the same time side by side display. In the test with Mac and Windows which worked well, even if you then get a really getting used to image format. To turn the appliance you have one short and one long tap. So let's take a quick out is not possible (takes just 5 sec). To save energy are the LG customer a power saving mode which switches off the screen to, for example 4 hours. Problem here is that the monitor then also goes if you already working on it. A brief dialogue is for, if I am not mistaken, 10 Seconds shown before it goes out. Again just one, probably of hardware, otherwise solvable, feature that needs to be disabled. On Mac: ## Preliminary - that does not apply here for Windows users - because this works perfectly. ## On Mac you have to connect the device with DisplayPort, HDMI as my MacPro only transfers 1920x1080p. Why is then sold the device as a Mac Compatible beyond me. With a DisplayPort then everything goes great, but otherwise it is a bit disgusting stretched format, which is really tiring in the long run. Now I stand up in front of the problem that I have already connected the other screens and so I have no cable, but that's another story. The problem does not appear for several forums probably are on the screen, but LG is nothing here to another - which could also add a DP cable. - Only a small warning
Per + Image + OSD control
Con - HDMI on Mac only 1920 x 1080p - on Windows but correct resolution - Is a little too deep. Conclusion: The screen does quite well and is very well suited by the format especially for movies. As a Mac user you accesses to DP cable and can connect then 2 devices via HDMI - Adequate opportunities for a PC monitor. For me, the stand is about 5 cm too low, so that the device is now first on books because I would otherwise look down. All in all, there are a buy rating
