Western Digital - quality brand

This board is the successor to a WD and Hitachi each having 320GB capacity.
The 320-WD has a production date of January 2005 and the Hitachi from May 2005. Both have therefore done its job 10 years. Few 1000 Power Cycles participated and sometimes took part apparently over 200 unplanned power waste. 10 years for an electronic component that is used every day and in the first 5 years and 24/7 - Kudos !!!

So now to the new device. It runs for one day. It's quick and barely audible in my classic Tower PC with vibration-damping HDD cage. Would say reading hears nothing. Writing does it make noise, but it is by no means noisy and it is not at all disturbing. Yes there slower drives and SSDs for Silent Freaks ...

Installation was straightforward. Plate was immediately recognized (Win 8.1).
The readings of my previous reviewers I've also achieved.

I think it is the hard drive, as with all predecessors.
Nothing save 80% full pack / 7 days always on and then to safety 10 weeks exclusively on the disk.
If they then still alive she goes to the normal operating with standard backups of important files.

I'm keeping her fingers crossed to keep the same length as its predecessor!
