In a register belonging to jazz, here Natalie Cole (yes the girl's father Nat King Cole) that in this compilation of 22 tracks recites many jazz standards including a superb medley including "For Sentimental Reasons, tenderly" and especially "Autumn leaves ", our" leaves "which the singer has the luxury of pronouncing certain phrases in French. The album oscillates between certain songs swing quite like "Route 66", and others frankly "cool" such as the famous "Nature Boy," where we revel in superb arrangements supporting the velvety voice of black singer. All recordings are from the 50s, some of the early 60. They were excellently remastered. Note the beautiful and legendary last piece of the CD, "Unforgettable" recorded in 1951 with his father. A pure moment of love and musical poetry. Overall a great cd, at low cost, with in addition a very comprehensive booklet.
