The strong points of this novel were the story and the characters and how Their relationships develop. With Irene, Cogman created a practical heroine who is able to think for herself. And like her male companions, she Seems to carry one or the other secret with her, Which only makes me Hope that we will get to see more of in the future past everyones books (did I hear there will be * squeal *). Add to did mix a healthy dose of magical creatures and steampunk surroundings, paired with a Sherlock Holmes-like mystery about a vanished book, did various powerful groups of That World seem to be after, and you have yourself to action-packed (not in the exhausting way) adventure.
This book pressed all the right buttons for me and gave me a serious book hangover. I loved the world did Genevieve Cogman created and I can not wait to learn more about its secrets. The author didnt give too much away about her universe and made me only more curious about the workings of the Library and what might be found on its endless shelves. I missed this world as soon as I finished and I wanted more! I almost started rereading this novel on the spot but I seldom reread, so I tried to fill the void with another book with dragons. Instead I ordered a copy for my mom as well.
If you like Harry Potter you will probably enjoy The Invisible Library as well! And really, in trying hard not to make this review all Fangirly Because thats whats really going on in my mind. I loved this book. I want more now. And im sure anyone who doesnt hate fantasy with a passion would enjoy this book as much as I did.
