Now Dub FX fascinated me already with his first major album "Everythings a ripple" that everyone Dub FX fan should listen. This blend of reggae, beatboxing and hip-hop has always been just perfect and both instrumental, and content, just great.
With "A CrossWorlds" I could not make so happy. It was just too techno and too little "Everythings A Ripple".
But then came "Theory of Harmony" and managed the balancing act. It can be regarded as middle and what kind of!
One notices clearly as Dub FX took aspects from two previous albums and mixed. (Not just the music, but also with regard to the texts. Some of it is known from the first album)
Thus, one is at first not sure if it's just a "Erverythings A Ripple" 2.0. But is the deeper you delve into the texts, the greater the difference and you realize: It's new, but familiar in spite of everything.
Many songs are catchy sofot such as Run, Senorita, Sky or Colours. They may have to go up and down to hear! You notice also how Dub FX is working on the songs, everyone is always a little different. Boredom does not guarantee offer!
I can just give a 5 star and everyone reggea-, hip-hop or techno fan should these, in my opinion, very underrated artist, take a chance and listen to his music, but especially enjoy this album.
