Alain Delambre, a fifties environment, lost his job. Ashamed, he accepts any opportunity offered to him. Even a post handler pharmaceutical Courier, under the orders of a sort of shabby little kapo who, one day, kick his ass. Alain revolts. This is the earthen pot against the iron pot. It is therefore overjoyed when finally one answers sending one of his CV. Full of hope, Alain sees up the slope, regain the esteem of his relatives, to once again look in the mirror. He does not know he just put the finger in a terrible spiral. This novel is different from all other writings by Pierre Lemaitre. No real crime. No police investigation either. This is a reflection on today's society where human beings are treated as pawns. It urges like oranges and bark are thrown. Without qualms. Those who want to stay in the race must undergo inhuman tests. Are exploited, humiliated them, crushed them, they are thrown. The subject is very interesting. But, for one, do not have too liked this story. I found the establishment very (top) long. I was lost in devious tricks. Everyone manipulates everyone. All are tough, ruthless, unfriendly (except one or two, like Charles, Nicole or Lucia). Very quickly, the main character, which takes pity at the beginning of the novel, became odious to me. I have not really liked this book.
