From the second stick from Amazon, I could read the data (the Sandisk software), but at the first letter, there were problems; the copy operations did not lock, the system could only be after removing the sticks shut down again. I could not format the Stick on multiple PCs on NTFS, neither USB3 nor USB2. Even with exFAT, I had to stop formatting; then the stick was indeed displayed as formatted, but the first attempt to write again went nothing more.
Conclusion: one of two unusable, even with USB3. The other is impeccable at USB2 as the USB3. Three stars because the functioning stick really is very good. Especially when many small files even faster than the Lexar JumpDrive Triton USB 3.0 64GB USB stick. But who for the significantly more noble housing, the Sandisk is very light and can thus make a cheap impression.
Update 30.08.2012: The SanDisk Extreme does not work with all firmware / driver versions of the host chips NEC / Renesas 720,200th This chip was the first available USB3 host controller and he is often in Aufrüstkarten for PCIe or ExpressCard slot but also used on motherboards. With newer drivers and firmware (eg driver 2.1.36.0 firmware and 3034) of the stick is not recognized or only runs with USB2 pace, only to my ExpressCard adapter with the older firmware and driver 2.1.28.0 3021 was to achieve a higher pace , Unfortunately, you can not play older firmware on the controller. On Intel Z77 or ASMedia ports ASUS P8Z77 Deluxe my there is no problem; on ASMedia runs only minimally slower than the Intel.
