When plug and play for beginners certainly an alternative, me too limited!

Connection etc., everything went without problems, unit is very quiet and access the home network was not a problem. The plate is actually meant for the beginners in the field and NAS 160 EUR in the 3 TB version also relatively cheap in the market.

What was not so good / suboptimal:

- Disconnections while copying to NAS
- Restricted folder structure ('m very accurately)
Can not be accessed via web interface from external source via Java -
- Limited access externally
- Firmware my opinion is not yet mature enough
- Ultimately a bit too bestränkt and determined by WD in terms of freedom of movement!
- Support Forum available, the German but spread little
- Video Tutorials, I'm a big fan of - not to scarce

Today I decided the WD MyCloud convert back and have 114 with WD RED to swap a Synology Disk Station DS 3 TB. The price is 90 EUR higher, but what speaks to me for:

- Great Support Forum
- Many video tutorials with precise explanations
- Very good Firmware
- The very positven experiences
- The many setting options
- External Access

I would define it as times, who is an absolute beginner and after a Plug & Play solution investigated, lies with the WD MyCloud determined not wrong, because here the firmware is updated constantly. Who is upscale beginners to is individual freedom and options residing want is Synology right ,. That is to look my opinion without by any glasses.
