Where is the lightning?

So far, I was with my Casio Exilim more than satisfied, but this camera is rather large and clunky, so I was very happy about the compact and narrow format of the Nikon Coolpix and also about the really light weight. The design is by the beautiful bright colors really special and for that alone it has already earned almost a star.

At first I was not sure if I can be satisfied with the quality of the images, especially right after taking in the small check screen they looked quite colorless and blurred. But open on the PC, you can see the very good quality. Compared to my Casio also act the colors in direct comparison (each the same photographed with two cameras) significantly more vivid, gaudy and sharper. Wonderful I also find the many features and extras which can be edit photos directly on the camera already (eg only turn out one color and the rest of the photo is black and white; sepia; retouching etc.). The battery lasts really long, much longer than in my Casio.

One thing bothers me, however, very: You can not force the flash, there is to only select "Auto Flash" and "Flash Off". However, my camera often does not flash even in low light conditions, so I think slowly that it depends on chance whether and when the Coolpix condescended to turn on the flash. I find that disappointing and unfortunately subtract a star!

Conclusions in brief:
+ Great design and beautiful compact & easy
+ Crisp and very color-intensive photos
+ Many functions for image processing
+ Battery lasts long
- Flash error

A total of 4 solid stars for a great camera - only drawback: the flash mode, the present is not always when you need them.
