Who needs Watt if he has Pro-Ject?

For the first time I came up with the brand Pro-Ject in contact as I wanted to buy a phono stage to improve myself at this point - it was the Tube Box S, to maybe elsewhere more. However, we come to the amp box S. My new speakers are hungry because they want to take action separately. This means that the woofers have separate entrances. Since my Yamaha A3030 could make this separation on the two subwoofer outputs were needed now even more of a power amplifier to amplify the signal. But first doubts came to the Order with me. Would the 25 watts per channel of the Pro-Ject Box really rich to the total of four 10-inch woofers of the two speakers to operate? My subwoofer which I previously as woofer operation had built Class-D amplifiers, each with 200 watts. And actually I thought after the first connection my fears would come true. But a glance at the technical data sufficient to clear up the disaster. The amplifier offers a minimally higher input voltage than the receiver on the output supplies. So adjusted the settings for volume in Yamaha curse for the two outputs and behold: It'll bass. And also the concern with the Watt was completely unfounded. We shot the receiver to almost unbearable volumes, fed him with deep bass, both from films and music. But we did not manage to bring the small box to their limits. Always managed to come along it.

To test the sound characteristics I closed it yet as a normal amplifier, and lo and behold, as a full-range they played very musical. Would the whole technology would not be in a small black case, but in a large design-monster I believe HiFi enthusiasts be willing to pay significantly more. That does not mean that Pro-Ject sold hereunder value, but the price is more than fair and reasonable. Who wants to save space and still want to have excellent sound is access good advice here. Who can withstand twice the height should then perhaps move to the DS or even the dual-mono RS variant. But the example of the S-Box, we see wonderful that the mere wattage is not everything. A little side note: The box can trigger wonderfully, so you can be turned on together with the receiver without pressing another button. One should only pay attention really a mono jack to use cable, so it worked out perfectly.
