- Unpacking
It has indeed noticed when unpacking that the part was already unpacked. But it had
no damage and everything was available. Good and securely packaged.
- Building
First, simply times by included power adapter connected to the power grid. Then the
Downloaded manual on the Support page of Pioneer. A little bit
waiting to give the unit an opportunity to accumulate (ACCU = collector) ;-))
Meanwhile, flew over the manual in general and in particular the part with
the network connection read accurately.
- Connect to the Network
My router has WPS (which has now not). So turned on the Pioneer, waiting
until the power LED stops blinking and then the setup button for the network at the
Pushed back. Sprinted to the router (hush-hush), where the WPS button to
Housing pressed.
In fairness, I must confess that it did not work at first. So the whole thing
to zero and again the same.
Lo and behold, after a short time the network LED lights in deep blue.
- Connect to DLNA
Here I use the Android app "BubbleUpnP". Costs admittedly a threesome or
so, but I had already bought me for something else, and so I use it well
this. Under "Devices / Libraries" I was next to my "NAS" and the "local renderers"
even the XW-SMA2 228CB8 displayed. This and my NAS and selected in the Library
selected my desired music in the playlist and the music started.
- Play
Without much delay shone once the INPUT LED in a beguiling green and from the
Speakers sounded the music you want.
- Off
Accidentally I came to the switch of the speaker and he responded immediately with an eager shutdown. That's a little too fast and and should not be so easy
happen. However, this is due to the sensor keys.
- On again
Had switched on again and wait until the device has successfully booted up,
connected it to turn automatically without further to do with my wireless. Again my
Android app called and turned on. Ahhhhh .....
- Internet Radio
Here I have my difficulties at the moment. But is probably due to my
Android App.
- Sound
Yes the sound. Actually quite good. Easy bassy (in my opinion). One should
perhaps seek an equalizer. Is not that easy in DLNA !!!! But otherwise
very good, clear and precise. The longer you listen the more you get used to the sound.
- Playing time on battery
No Idea
- Form Factor
A bit big the whole thing. Would prefer something smaller. But it seems like
everywhere: Life is full of compromises. Price, appearance, size, function, sound: If
you you have everything together one to talk a good overall package to which one can get used to quite.
- Lifetime
??? We will see ........
Score total: 4.5 stars. I round on. 5
Subsequently I reduce to 4 stars. Why?
I need to connect more to the network speaker by I press the WPS router, and then the speaker connect button. Such a thing does not have to be. That's better.
Despite everything, a good device. !!!!!!!!
