The article Windows 7 SP1 itself is of course great and the delivery was made relatively quickly (Friday ordered 3rd May and Tuesday 7 May receive), but the original price offered here of 54.95 EUR can now be described as extortionate price in 2013! Why? For the following reasons:
Point 1. The goods were not as Amazon described by "Media GmbH Trade" sent, but by a "Video & Game - Multimedia sales" from Berlin. Whether this is by the same vendor, I can not say because I do not know all these suppliers. It may be that Amazon has given as a speaker on the order veschiedene suppliers in order. It may be that there is an internal subsidiary. Or that there's a change was made at the supplier. What ever. It all would have under normal circumstances matter and would not do anything about the matter, but here as years of Amazon customer, I find that a bit strange and I hope that it has nothing to do with the following, important criticisms 2nd and 3rd ...
Point 2. The goods are delivered in a standard padded envelope by German Post FRANKIT 1.45 EUR, 2.99 EUR although you paid here as shipping in the online order and this amount is also on the enclosed invoice from the vendor! That is also strange and could be here, when you are angry, the suppliers imply fraud in the shipping costs. Well, but again could not turn a blind eye, if it were not gripe would 3. (!) ...
Point 3. This is actually just a simply packed OEM version. In other words, you get the Windows 7 DVD in a simple, white DVD envelope paper supplied with film viewing window. For this purpose the product key on a sticker, stapled to the invoice from the vendor. That's all what you get in a padded envelope.
Hmm. So I've actually imagined otherwise. I thought, I get the OEM version and new product here at least in a beautiful, green, sealed original packaging / box supplied by Microsoft. These might even inside a small manual or a promotional brochure from Microsoft. So just as Windows 7 was then delivered original and as you know it from the product illustrations ago.
But no, I get only the simple Windows 7 SP1 DVD in paper sleeve with product key supplied. So as if I had bought from a private customer on eBay unexpectant times. So for that I did not pay 54.95 EUR! If I want to have a simple Windows 7 SP1 would OEM 32-bit DVD with product key, then I could get my well stattdessem loose on eBay as new for a mere 30 euros! And have for a few Euros more I get that too in most cases than welded, green genuine Microsoft packaging delivered, as I expected here for the higher price actually!
While this is not everything in the product description on this Amazon page. And someone could say now that I myself would be to blame because there is nothing of welded Microsoft original packaging & Co. And indeed, I should have known better, but probably had too much faith, simply because there are no surprises in normal cases if you order new goods on Amazon, even if those goods are dispatched by a second supplier. But here I seem to be gotten herself in trouble for the first time. Too bad. A failed "bargain" and an additional 25 euros for nothing spent.
An absolute exorbitant price, in my opinion. Other customers who want to buy this item from here, so I would recommend first to think carefully before you click the order button!
Meanwhile, I have a "Windows 7 Home Premium SP1 OEM 64-bit" ordered me even further as new from a trusted seller on ebay. These goods I get even just simply in a DVD paper sleeve with product key, but it costs me only one amazed (!), Loose 31.50 EUR. And the OEM for a 64-bit version in 2013. And not like here 54.95 EUR for a 32-bit OEM version.
Easy to overpriced and unsuited for bargain hunters. That's why 1 star deduction.
