Years after reading the last volume, "A Feast for Crows" I had to fight my way through the 900 pages of George Martin's sixth band. The storylines of the characters that had been lacking in "Feast" will now begin again, and move forward with the speed of a tortoise sedated. Some characters seem to make conscious idiotic decisions about the action to be protracted artificially (Stannis and Dany fall here particularly negatively on), other characters are haunted by Miss Skillful that ultimately do nothing to the development of the characters oer advance the plot, but they separated in the last minute again from their goal. It has as feeling a lot "mensché do not be angry" to attend, in which all players are facing their final destination, but the wrong eyes Cams Categories constant number.
New characters and points of view are introduced, where one has the feeling, better not even to remember the name after it in the category "extra" can be classified in just two lines, whose life expectancy will not exceed probably the next band. Again you get the feeling that certain things just happen, so the status quo does not have to change in Westeros. This recalls the series now fatal to the average volumes of "Wheel of Time", which let an initially vielversprehene book series sink into dozens increasingly less interesting Handlunssträngen.
George Martin, it continues to dominate, to write a few exciting scenes, but an increasing proportion of time between these events is concerned with the collection of foods, can be stored cooked, eaten or shipped.
