The British minimalists of WIRE have with "Wire", their self-titled new Output, I think that now the 13th or 14th studio album, so for sure I know the ad hoc not released. As with Wire usual, "growing" the songs of each album over time and "Wire" is to include with security. 11 songs spread over 44:01 minutes with many ups and luckily little deep, give "Wire". Have me "Red Barked Tree" and "Change Becomes Us" quite well tasted right from the start, so I did myself in the early days with "Wire" but slightly heavier. Sure, songs like "blogging", "Shifting", "In Manchester", "High", "Joust & Jostle" and "Split Your Ends", enjoy a most immediately the familiar "Wire-aural feeling". The conflict with then but the two sometimes lengthy pieces: "Sleep Walking" and "Harpooned" which are certainly not bad, but a bit strange. Even with "Burning Bridges" At first I had some problems that had but evaporates after a few Hördurchgängen. "Wire" is not the same now well into his ear as the two strong previous albums, but "grows" but "Wire" in fact over time. 4 stars are strong as entirely appropriate. Conclusion: Wire have launched with "Wire" good to very good in parts even output that classifies the good publications of this almost unique British band. It may not ignite immediately, but promises the listeners interesting Höreinsichten a "cult band", who always knew how to sound boring never to be / and make their song structures with musical minimalism imnmer exciting and interesting.
