The unpacking quality printing and the use is real. This goal is quite large and once the sun visor mounted a focal length of 300mm, it takes up space. However, visor mounted around the lens (storage position) and reduced to 70mm, it is the size of a flash cobra length (and stored in my camera bag).
It is quite heavy, especially deployed but it is very correct. Just as the neck strap pulls a little after a while ..
The sunshade stows the lens by turning it. Therefore, it emp ^ che access to the zoom ring and I have not found how to use the target in this position.
After the ergonomics, rendering picture.
Its opening 4-5.6 already provides a small variation on the focal range which is significant and allows this objective to be more open than most about 18-200 common focal ranges.
The auto focus is fast and quiet.
The sharpness is good and overall the picture quality is largely in my expectations. There certainly wrong if we had the chance to have goals "professionals" to 4 or 5 times the price, but at my level and this budget is exactly what I expected and I think this will be the case for most buyers (we know what we bought and it was well worth the money).
On sony boxes (made by stabilizing the housing), the lens stabilization is not necessary and compared to Canon or Nikon verion, the stabilization switch is absent. it's a shame that the price is thereby not significantly reduced compared to other brands of frames. However on my A33, at 300mm, I can shoot with relatively slow speeds (1/40 or 1/25) without any motion blur freehand.
Finally, a remark on the 70-300 range on an APS-C sensor like my A33:
outdoors, 70mm open 4 or more beautiful portraits allows keeping a reasonable distance from the subject (count 3m or more). The bokeh (blur of Rear plane) is present if desired.
A 300mm we start to capture images of very distant subjects (it's not far from the equivalent of a 450mm for a full frame sensor).
For a visit to the zoo, the animals will toujour try to take refuge at the bottom of the enclosure, you will get a closer view, guaranteed !!!
I take a star for the price with sony mount and for handling the visor and I in no way regret my purchase.
