I got the game a day before publication and has thus already on Wednesday to rotate my first laps. I can occupy myself with Project Cars for three hours and was just frustrated. Therefore, it was also only one star.
Meanwhile have passed and therefore lapsed significantly more hours of play on the track almost three days. The internet is now a lot of contributions to the Controller Settings. The fact is that you can not really go with the default settings. Certainly Project Cars may be a simulation, but the game should be configured optimally in my eyes on the main input device a console ... and that's just the controller and no Racing Wheel ...
Currently I have a setting found with the can be controlled very well the normal race cars. You can find the setting in the comments. Only for Karts I still lack a setting. These are simply impassable. There's also a bug for me because often the steering gets stuck, especially in long curves. Although the drive is already at the center position, the wheels are still fully on steering. That must not be.
Ultimately, there was so far no patch for either graphics or sound or for the control. Nevertheless, I find more and more pleased with Project Cars. In particular, the attention to detail, the developer revealed so gradually. Be it scratchy, cold brakes to the race start, which need to be warm. Be it weather and lighting effects or the really brutal, successful sound (which now and then for a split second an echo effect) or the career ... somehow I am drawn more and more into its spell. Project Cars is a game in which you must get involved and certainly deserves five stars if the present defects will be corrected even by Patch. Until then, there's currently three stars from me.

I would like to very briefly introduce my first impression (after about 3 hours of play) and would like to discuss in the coming days much more accurate with the game.
++ In scope and setting the game can really show off. That makes every racing game friend happy. Be it the game modes, the setup, the lines or even the selection of the various racing series, here's something for every taste. The career reminds me a little of DTM Race Driver. I ride in the various race cars usually a miniseries and rises so on gradually.
++ The sound is outstanding. The engine noise crashing out just so, the transmission rattles ... here I am just thrilled.
+ The graphics are in my view quite handsomely. The tracks are a bit sterile, despite the weather and day change effect. The other reviewers mentioned Tearing also noticed me, but certainly should be fixed with a patch soon. With up to 35 opponents can be measured on the track, but then what leads to the collapse of the frame rate at particularly fast passages. As such, the graphics in my opinion is solid, not outstanding. An advance over Forza be seen, but only in detail. The various camera views I think it's great. Here the helmet camera is great fun.
- The control brings me to despair. Already at the first practice rounds me is noticed. Quick right-left combinations overwhelm the controller repeatedly. Even after long corners, the steering angle is often there, so you just get the wheels back only by gently counter-steering. Frequently, however, one is then already in the gravel. At the start of the career I chose karting. Bad idea ... After two races I've thrown - unfahrbar this planer. After a break of frustration I decided for the old DTM-Benz and drove a few laps for exercise in Oschersleben. When the tires were hot times, it was so slow. The aforementioned problems could only curse me again. I've already thought my controller is defective. However, a change brought no improvement here. I do not know if the control is implemented better with a steering wheel, but will not set me EinsExtra for Project Cars. Here necessarily her remedy. So it makes no fun.
To sum things up after my first game hours only say that the game in scope and sound can inspire, the graphics still has potential be helped urgently upwards and has in controlling. Therefore, there's currently no recommendation to buy from me.
