Without a safety net

1996, these tapes were discovered in the archives of Sony and according to the liner notes had to have been baked in an oven to allow a one-time dubbing in the first place. Worth has it all and the mastering was done very carefully and so the posterity remained a great live document of the arena rock band of the late 70s early 80s received. The recordings come from Journey's most successful period between 1981 and 1983 in the US and Japan recorded.

The special thing about it - there were no overdubs added and you can hear what a great live act at the time the group was. The setlist is the title - none of the big hits of missing and no one is disappointed in these versions. Plenty of room for improvisation was in Arena Rock never, and then the tape stops at all these performances almost 1: 1 to the studio versions. She does but with plenty of pop and music on a very high level. Perry and guitarist Neal Schon of course are the stars, and impress with their commitment and skill, but also the rest of the band is in top form. And even if that is a compiled Live CD, so it is still one of the best live albums that exists in this genre.
