I have to actually BEAGLEBONE sachfremd used (as little Firewall before an IPMI interface), but the small device has seriously impressed me. In my application I wanted it have a Ubuntu LTS 12:04 - that was not a problem, or let's say it would have been none if the supplier had provided the power plug. In the package was unfortunately only one mini-USB cable, which you even need to do the initial installation or to make it more easy to make * *. But only with the USB cable, you can not take care of the equipment, even if you connect a 2A power supply, it is simply not enough. Luckily I had lying around a USB to barrel connector, and supplied with it, boot the small computer and no longer crashes when he describes the internal Flash.
If the supplier so now mitliefert the small power connector, there's five stars from me.
A note on the machine itself: Compared with the Raspberry is the CPU really fast. But the graphics card is significantly slower than that of Raspberry. So if you want a movie peep-microcomputers, is better off with the Raspberry. Who but a small server needs with an incredible number of external interfaces, which is definitely happy with the BeagleBone. Or who just needs a tiny Ubuntu server, like me.
