Wonderfully suitable for retrofitting

I have my four-year-old Intel 5100 replaced by the Intel 6205 offered here. However that (pronounced 300MBit / s upload and download rate 2x2 antennas) The 6205 is the latest model without Bluetooth and supports both 2.4 GHz as well as the 5 GHz band (dual band), has, according to Intel, despite higher performance lower power consumption than the previous models.

The connection is established, the signal strength and the driver support are, Intel typically excellent. In addition to Windows 7 and the latest drivers for Windows 8 and other platforms are available.

If you Bluetooth is important and would love my advice to the current model of the Intel 6235 with Bluetooth 4.0 or alternatively to the older Intel 6230. The latter however, has 'only' on the Bluetooth Standard 3.0:

To be able to use the wireless card in Half Mini PCIe format in older laptops or fix you still need an adapter such as:
