I ordered this TV last year before Christmas directly from Amazon. At the delivery and the Lieferzeiteaum could not be faulted.
Unpacked and connected televisions and already came the first disappointment to the fore. The remote control was broken and not working. I could not quite believe and have spent a lot of time with different batteries and setting up tests it was actually clear: without remote control function ... Well, this TV can be operated with a smartphone, too. App installed and tried cumbersome set the Tv. That goes with this app unfortunately not as good as with a real remote control.
Since I had to travel on the same day I have even complained about the broken remote control the Sony Support to spare me the complete sending back and exchange of Tv.
After actually two (2) weeks and many emails to the support I have received a new and well-functioning remote control. That was the first point I would have expected otherwise with Sony. The second disillusionment, I then found only at a closer view of the housing. The upper part of the frame was slightly warped as if something in the assembly was not properly locked. That's what I can fix by gently squeezing and at the top of everything is now as it should probably include.
I am then to test only gradually come to to the TV closer and adjust so that was unfortunately already passed the return period of 30 days (to exactly these questions have to be able to anticipate the answer). So then I have seen, unfortunately, later the two places a gap to shen is in the lower part of the frame by the show through the LEDs. I uploaded photos to. This probably belongs not so and was not to be remedied by gently squeezing. Well, that's only visible when you stand directly in front of the angle Tv. Good workmanship looks to me but different.
The image is from the contrast and black level quite well and can not be compared with my 4.5 year old Toshiba. There are of me a star ... Otherwise, the image a mean catastrophe. For a completely gray image and pans in bright parts such as a sky can be seen a vertical banding over the entire TV, as if the LEDs above and below the radiating light not genung sprinkle a homogeneous surface illuminate. Pictures hereof I'm still trying nachzureichen. Even I knew so much yet and thought that a quality manufacturer like Sony better illumination hinbekommt cost as Noname manufacturers the half.
The range of apps is quite large, I do not need to see this app to watch movies but other than the Amazon. Exactly this is also not possible without getting headaches. No matter what I pick my series or what movie it jerky so strong that it is unbearable (100k DSL line ...). My Xbox One creates perfectly ...
Speaking of film judder, even with other playback devices such as cable TV jerky picture during camera movement such that I would runterstufen the 200Hz specified rather 25-50Hz. This occurs not reproducible in all the films or series, and I can not figure out why. But that was my old Toshiba with the same setup around it without any stuttering.
Finally comes the last point added: a dead pixel. This is basically not a big drama and here I have a little luck, it does not remain lit, but always black.
I'm going to this on occasion even the Sony Forward Support with the question of whether all these issues are part of the factory settings. I'm already prepared for a longer wait. ;-)
