I have installed the card in a socket 1156 motherboard with an i7 870, and a Samsung SSD 830 connected. The motherboard has only SATA2, so I wanted to use the SATA3 card for better performance. Operating System Windows 7 Premium 64bit.

The good news: Everything worked perfectly! I have not even the drivers are required to address the SSD as a boot device.

Disillusionment: The performance of the SSD is actually dropped with the map a little, although I am the SATA3 mode has been displayed.

I have afterwards the test (CrystalDiskMark) repeated again after I had also installed the supplied driver, still no improvement. Also the Samsung Magician shows slightly sunken performance data.

I can not judge whether or not the card itself is very slow, or the interaction with my system slows the course map. Anyway, I send them back again, because I reach any advantage with it.

Addendum: The company CSL Computer was very hard, with a replacement product to find a solution. Unfortunately, the second controller did not bring the desired speed boost of SATA2 SATA3 on. The interface card works, there is also a connection for the SATA3 SSD displayed, only the data transfer rate has not increased for any reason.
