I am almost tempted to withdraw a hymn of praise here, but try to remain objective. The device works. Whether you work or just stressed, both true! Use it even in winter, the chest strap under several layers of functional clothing and had not a failure of the chest strap or the connection to the device on the arm! I know from other devices differently, bad! The display is a good size and well arranged, a competition from other large manufacturers, I immediately put aside, because I can not look at the display during training and wants but short and quickly and clearly need information. The battery lasts even 2 marathons long you should wait, as with any new device, the battery at the beginning of charge for at least 10h, use completely empty (without loading between!) And then load again so long that activates all ions clean and beautiful you have lots of fun on the battery. Also applies to mobile phones and other devices with LiIon batteries ... I use the device on MAC and even there it funzt properly. However, one should prefer to enter his pulse values on the device when the computer since the software for Garmin online and the opportunities on the computer (Mac and Win) make some problems with the dubbing to the device. But this may not the device. The built-in antenna and the ANT + technology work excellently together. I also use the pedometer to and what can I say - all devices work perfectly together. The GPS had been not a misfire, though I walk in the forest. The distance measurement is accurate and the route will be displayed accurately (afterwards on the computer). The price is relative. No way I would not trade this device combination more against a cheaper combo. This I had previously sufficiently and the nerves and time cost that did not had value. Anyone who wants to invest his money wisely, accesses here and has a few minutes of training his fun with reasonable equipment!
EDIT: I now regret to make a small limitation. After just over six months and regular use, everything is right but what is up with me caught the strap now spinning on. In lighter functional clothing that is not tight against the body, the strap loads with me after 5-10km unfortunately so on to share that I am trying it. Jumps of 20-25% heart rate, which are definitely not due to increased exertion. At 100-102% I would certainly visit my cardiologist again immediately;) If you walk in the marathon preparation certain routes not to Pace, but after HF is, then is not good for the unit :( I hope the exchange goes without device replacement vonstatten.
{UPDATE 14.03.2011} My chest spins again. I had returned the old device and a new device bought (exchange did not go). With the new device, a new version of the chest strap was there, where the actual transmitter is placed clicks. Everything worked wonderfully and with regular software updates (which you should upload to a computer always!) I had no problems that were partly described by other users. As a heart rate monitor has no additional A-GPS, such. As smartphones, a satellite fix takes naturally longer ... (A-GPS is only possible with mobile phone / smartphone as a cellular connection is needed;)) But now I get again shown "hopping" RF values and (forced stop) if I make z. B. during the run a SitUp- "pause" and continue to run after 10 minutes, the RF levels are extremely low down and come only after at least 2-3 km back yet. This is not true, because I definitely do not run with 45% RF exposure. If so, WR and Olympic is my victorious safe (Marathon);) So - back again :(
