I was skeptical at first due to some negative reviews, but then it ordered from Amazon-market-place-dealer. Sure - the housing is made of plastic and not metal, but in the build quality, I can not see anything negative. The gap dimensions are exact - there is nothing about and nothing wobbles. The Coax RCA jack and the optical Toslink connector are clean and accurately inserted into the housing. The coaxial-optical conversion works perfectly and smoothly. I tried it with the coax output of an external sound card and the optical input on your AV amplifier. Instead of the supplied AC adapter power (USB plug on one side and barrel connector on the other side, is also known as Power-Klauer cable) also works with a USB power cable. This is particularly useful because the current only flows for as long as it is needed. Of course, I do not know if I was just lucky with the delivery or if the quality of the series very scattered.
