I bought this keyboard to work remotely via my iPad 2 by connecting on my Windows XP PCs / 7 via a Remote Desktop Connection (using iOS app "Remoter Pro" which recognizes combinations of PC keys: Alt -Tab, Windows key, etc). For that, I needed a USB keyboard to connect to the iPad via USB connector "connection kit for camera." I had a keyboard that is not greedy in voltage on the USB port for the iPad 2 has a very low voltage limit on USB keyboards and some will bring about error message saying that the device consumes too. This is not the case of the keyboard. Once plugged into the iPad 2, the usual error message is obtained "This device can not be used - the connected device is not supported" but we click OK, we do not know and keyboard works very well. Some keys (signs for example) are not functional on the iPad 2 directly (in the Notes application for example) but it is a problem encountered with all USB keyboards plugged into the iPad to From what I've read. I could run them through against connection Remote Desktop using the free utility AutoHotkey on the destination PC that allowed me to convert scans unknown codes sent by the scan keys correct code corresponding to the desired characters. In conclusion, despite the non-traditional use I reserve this keyboard, it fully meets my expectations. I have not tested it on PC also directly everything works.
