You also need to read any complicated operating instructions, because the device and the remote control are self-explanatory.

The fan can be operated on both the remote control and on the button under the display. By pressing and holding, you can adjust the strength. It is still recommended to leave the remote control always on the device or to store them always in the same place.
When you first turn you immediately feel a distinct cooling of the air in the immediate vicinity of the fan. Also in 4-5 meters this is still very noticeable. However, you can feel the air movement. I have rated the Dyson in direct comparison with a 15-euro-fan from the hardware store and get a rather sobering conclusion:
VOLUME:
The Dyson is pleasantly quiet, even at full strength, you can while still watching TV without I feel the noise as very annoying. The DIY fan is not very loud, but I would run him in television only at medium strength. The noise difference I feel as small.
AIR FLOW:
Clearly more uniform airflow of Dyson, but he also makes and wind around him I just feel that it "pulls". It only draws more uniformly than the DIY fan.
OPERATION:
Here the Dyson is clearly ahead. Remote control, timer and subdivision into 10 levels over 3 stages in Baumarkt-fan speak for Dyson.
MY CONCLUSION:
The Dyson is because of its futuristic appearance and send a clear lead. His air flow is more uniform and more enjoyable. A baby (as in the photo) I would not expose the air stream as it also "draws" as the conventional fan. It "pulls" only quieter and more evenly.
The differences from the conventional Baumarkt-fan are not worth to my mind the price. Who, however, emphasis on stylish products, will be very pleased with the Dyson because it works perfectly.
