here are already plenty of reviews about the device.
Therefore, only in brief my impressions:
- Less than expected (fits into a cigarette box)!
- Great delivery (incl. USB charging cable, opt PSU, Cat5 cable and Velcro strips for adhering to the TV / printer etc.)
- The ranges / data transfer problems, as reported by users who first made me skeptical, but I can not understand this! (Everyone should be aware that 802.11n will not be achieved by 2 concrete ceilings ...)
- Unit runs smoothly on my HP Color Laserjet 2025n.
Since I had a few difficulties with the establishment of the unit, here an indication if jmd also encounters the problem.:
Configuration is done via web interface. After configuring my computer reported an IP address conflict and the access to the web interface has been denied. Some research has shown that both the client and the wireless network adapter with the same IP appeared on the network. (This occurred in Win7 / Vista PCs, which are at home in a domain. Other computer did not notice this ...)
Remedy created a manual IP address assignment of the Windows client. Then I was able to access the web interface of the Netgear adapter again. There assigned to the adapter a fixed address, then the client behind the WLAN adapter could again operate with DHCP. The manual was to nothing. Why only 4 stars.
