After trying unsuccessfully for some time to load my Nexus 4 with a Nokia DT-900, I tried it with the RP-WCN12 again.
The charger acknowledges correct positioning with a short beep and the charging begins.
The Nexus 4 has the charging coil between the "Nexus" and "LG" lettering, the Nexus 7 in 2013 in the middle, so the "X" from the "Nexus" lettering.

The cable Chargers lie since in the drawer and collect dust :) Clear recommendation
