The cutter has two different thicknesses 2x3 spirals and 3,5x5 mm. The blades are made of Japanese steel blades and are suitable for solid vegetables.
Outside, the cutter along each side a holder made of stainless steel, the rest of the cutter is of high quality plastic.
The vegetable thickness can be up to 30 mm. The spiral cutter comes with a holder for the remaining vegetables. This is not required but actually, more about below.
Application
*********
In the beginning simply long enough vegetables etc. rotate eg cucumber, zucchini, carrot, radish by hand by the cutter and taking care to collect the spiral pasta in a jar. Cutting works very easily and is super out of hand.
When the vegetables then cut through is getting shorter, you can spin the remaining vegetables stub with the rest holder on.
Better but one turns the vegetables gently with your hand or a small pastry fork on, the holder keeps the vegetables not right and does not go far enough in the purely Schneider.
Here but be careful that you do not rotate at the fork in the cutting, the rest I do then always with a potato peeler small.
The cutter can then be easily under running water.
Conclusion
*****
So what was missing in my household, it's all very simple and it's a super simple idea. I would recommend the spiral cutter warmly, the little niggles with the food holder is the lesser evil.
Overall, the function is very good, from me there is therefore full 5 stars.
