I installed it first on a Macbook Pro to replace a SATA disk that start making "clicks". So, I have less space to store my data but accelerated software and time shortcut startup. Perfect. By cons, check the web the steps required for installation. So, I bought a second year for a Mac Pro 2011 which had also an end of life drive. In this case, I installed the software and system on the SSD and the given & Archives on SATA disks. Note that the widget sold by Apple to install an SSD in a Mac Pro costs about 50 half the price of the hard drive. In this case, buy an Icy Dock but check before the model is compatible with your computer (it's not always obvious).
