+ An ultra wide-angle lens in itself is awesome for many situations
+ Aperture F2.8 at all focal lengths 11-16mm
+ Nice and sharp, especially at maximum aperture F2.8
+ At 11mm at the edges still sharp (you rarely at a UWW)
+ Good autofocus ultrasonic motor
+ Very good workmanship
+ Well-made conversion of AF to MF
+ With sunshield
+ Good price for a bright UWW (especially in comparison with f2.8 low)
+ 11-16mm focal length is perfect down to the Canon EF-S 18-55 / 17-85 or 15-85mm
+ Particularly suitable for indoor shots without using the flash
+ Film with 11mm focal length

- Focal length 11-16mm too low for more flexibility (more like a fixed focal length)
- In inverted sun visor no MF possible (individual cases no)
- At 11mm focal length and an internal flash = Shadow, use better Aufsteckblitz
- Sometimes lensflare effects in backlight (typical extreme long shot, although the Canon has a better grip)
Conclusion:
quite clear who is looking for a sharp and ultra fast aperture wide-angle lens focal length and with less upward manages the Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 I can highly recommend, especially for indoor shots without using the flash perfect :-))).

Of course I also toyed with the Canon 10-22mm ultra wide-angle lens as the focal length of 22mm upwards very attracted to use it in many situations to be able to. but the brightness of f2.8 and the acclaimed in many test reports sharpness convinced me then but more for Tokina 11-16mm f2.8 lens, which I like to do indoors without a flash :-)).
Tip:
Photographers who prefer landscape photographs should take pictures when the sun definitely take a look at the Canon 10-22mm, since the luminous efficiency is no issue but the typical canon wide lensflare problem better control has ;-).
