I'm 1.90 tall and weigh 98 kilos. Other companies such as Montane, Salewa, Dynafit Ortovox or even suit me wonderfully clothing in size XL or XXL extremely athletic cut. Although at VAUDE none ... as an example my ALETSCH 3 Jacket in XXL fits in both length and girth but ... maybe measured by at least 10cm to long sleeves in a monkey.
What may not take me is the fact that the measure at VAUDE was exemplary once - in other words, a 1999 bought high touring jacket was just perfect as the associated pants, underwear, sweaters, etc. The quality was above reproach, the sizes super - partly use I these garments by VAUDE for 16 years without a burst seam or greater wear and tear ...
My new Aletsch jacket but has to 5x wear wear on the zipper at hem, the 2x ordered ski pants are always after 4-6 weeks in step (seam) risen. These shorts is ordered on the thighs just so that I'm sure to have them order as XXXXL order to cope with the mountain bike ride ... because the federal government in XXL degree fits so but the pants are too long, may imagine how that would look.
It may well be that I do not have the thinnest thighs with 6000-8000 meters of altitude training per week - but since when have thin thighs and cyclists stork legs?
And why have so expensive clothing and equipment items are made in China? A jacket costs 3 Aletsch 420th Other companies such as Ortovox succeed but also in Europe to manufacture ... despite Merino and Swisswool which makes things really not expensive to manufacture !!!
