Much has been said about the graphics. In my opinion, it makes a fabulous impression. Good foresight, nice touches but unfortunately with technical quirks. Especially PopUps fall on frequently or Nachtexturierung at objects. About this can be overlooked quite good in my opinion. GTA IV also was there anything but perfect.
The jump in the Wild West is Rockstar very good. What I was particularly intrigued to RDR, is the very dense atmosphere, contributing to the special sound. Thus far, no game can convey the setting, double thumbs!
All the rest is Rockstar typically at very high levels. The portrayal of the characters is back once superclass. Also the open game world with tons of options to pass the time, incl. Hunting wild animals and the subsequent sale of hides, skins, etc.
The control is based on much of GTA. Who is familiar here immediately gets going. That Stuerung riding something, let's say, failed demanding is located at the nature of things. Finally, horses, carriages, etc. have no accelerator. Do not bother me further.
From me there is an absolute buy recommendation, because the technical quirks for me rather disturbing at the detailed level and not the overall impression.
