In short, I'm after the positive reviews a bit disappointed by the light. I use two pieces of this lamp in a hanging lamp above a dining table. Immediately at the first operation falls the difference to halogen or incandescent bulbs to clear. The light of this LED lamp is a little harder and it seems artificial. Also contributes to the slight yellow tinge. To my mind it does not come close in on the warm, natural sound of a light bulb. Of course it could be argued that even light bulbs have a yellow component, but this stands out not so intrusive forth. Another downer for me is the dimming function: the lower the power, the colder affects the color. The brighter, more pleasant. Hence it is with us, the lamp only in full operation in question.
Postive noted which after all is noticeably friendlier light than a warm white energy saving lamp, which we also tested. The workmanship is very high, the massive ribbed Koblen serves as a heat sink and is very warm, but not so hot that you could burn your fingers during prolonged operation.
My Conclusion: I realize that it is extremely difficult to imitate the harmonic light of the good old light bulb with LEDs. Taking into consideration that, as Philips has done a good job. Those who do not expect a comparable incandescent bulb or halogen bulb to light, or that it is not particularly sensitive, could be found like this LED bulbs. For my eyes but the light is too artificial to justify the high price.
