The Lenovo W530 is a real powerhouse and needs a suitable power brick. This is a humungous brick Which delivers 170W. The laptop is in principle capable to charge from a standard charger 90W, but a power test during boot up and resume makes this very difficult. When this test fails it refuses to charge. I even tried with a 135W universal charger replacement without much success. It is possible but impractical.
The result Is that when i forget my adapter I can not lend one from a colleague or use a spare at home.
So I bought a replacement Which was promptly delivered so I have a spare for my home desk. This was Actually Cheaper Than the universal one and works brilliantly.
