If there was a band that combined all these attributes in themselves, then it was probably the Cramps and their unique frontman Lux Interior. You could take any of the Cramps plates, but very clearly that everything on this Mini-LP from 1983. The first live album, recorded in February in the Peppermint Lounge, Manhattan, documented the sound of the Cramps in all his genius.
"Thee must Exaulted Potentate of Love" stomps ahead with such forcefulness that one out of sheer awe solidifies either before devilish guitar sound Poison Ivy or hypnotic, as if driven by the ruler of the underworld it happening rocks.
With hellish Groove, deafening fuzz guitar sounds and the spraying of a gloomy atmosphere are continuing the four mission. Who is the client, you could see the whole time suspect and the confirmation is obtained promptly because "Well the devil with the blues, just blew that song" says the manic "I Is not Nuthin 'But A Hound Gore".
Side two begins with a cover of Count Five classic "Psychotic Reaction". The guitars roar just so out of the speakers, that it is a celebration. The madness continues in "Beautiful Gardens" and particularly in the Hasil Adkins number "She Said". Lux Interior out of control!
Finally, we are all asked to "Surfin 'Dead'." So c'mon, c'mon aw, aw c'mon! "
33 minutes rock'n'roll as it should be!
Fast, loud, otherwise, unpredictable, dangerous and full of energy!
