Since October 2013 I play Warface and now I have about 300 hours of play under his belt, thus speaks the pure experience. ;)
Warface is a multiplayer online shooter with a Coop (several players against computer opponents) and several PvP modes (player versus player). There are the usual 4 classes ... consisting of Gunner, Sniper, Medic and Engineer, which are quite well balanced. Especially the Coop (PvP is not really my thing) makes a lot of fun. You play a maximum of five people in tube levels against hordes of enemies. At the end of a match (a match lasts 10 - 15 minutes) mostly waiting for some sort of bosses (Mech, Apache), which usually has to be done only in the team. The maps are rotated daily, thus comes boredom quite late on (if at some point begins the rotation of the front). In addition, Crytek will change from time to time, the direction in which one passes through the map or provides opponent differently. Speaking of rotation, rotate every 2 weeks and the "extremely rare" objects ... which is an additional incentive for old hands like me who actually everything already unlocked. So you get even after 300 hours of play sometimes a new weapon or other things into their own hands. What I particularly like about Warface (whether Coop or PvP) ... the game is not a Pay 2 Win. You can buy with real money smaller benefits to, but because you basically only have to unlock by dealer points new weapons, attachments or equipment, good is all the money in the world nothing; because traders Points are only by completed missions. In addition, the objects more or less sequentially activated to ... first the simple and finally the rare or extremely rare (ie the good stuff). Therefore helps just play, play, play. Real money you can for example use this in order to buy himself a VIP status, thereby obtained a bonus to earn in-game currency, experience points and dealer points. In addition, you can buy with real money called "Random Boxes" ... these are surprise boxes containing mostly temporary goodies. If you have a lot of luck, you can also give unlimited top object (usually a weapon) received. That the happiness I mean seriously ... the probability is to get a top subject of very low in this way. I would you advise your real money (if you really want to invest what) to connect to the VIP status. Everything else really is not worth it. Your needs in Warface but really no money, if you bring a little more patience comes just at's goal and can eventually compete with the best equipment against other players. Apart from the range between the weapon classes so no extreme differences ... who plays well, can be at the forefront with this problems even with mediocre weapons.
Oh, and in co-op mode, there is an interesting offshoot ... "Tower Raid". You have here (again a maximum of five people) to clean a 19-story skyscraper. The degree of difficulty increases with each level. At the latest after the first third goes without teamplay nothing and from the second third of it gets really hairy .... from here need any more players Smoke grenades or revival coins and all actions must be precisely timed. Game time for all levels is about 45 minutes.
Finally, the negative: What I do not want to conceal at this point, are the technical problems that existed in the past few months. Again and again, users have been annoyed with various bugs which sometimes even aggravated by an update to update. The frustration was / is high. The taboo word "maintenance Face" was already making the rounds. Recently, it has become on this front but again fortunately a little quieter. Let's see what the next updates bring.
For DVD:
In short ... Price / performance ratio. Even existing Warface players make here no bad buy, because in the game you usually get for 9.95 1500 Warface credits ... in this DVD but are (in addition to various other things) ever 1000 credits included. If we add 14 days VIP Booster (probably the most important thing that you can treat yourself with real money) and the other things with a, you get really loose on the 8.99 euros that costs this DVD.
Now for the "special" weapons of this DVD. Here I was a little disappointed. The SVK Jungle is actually only the default Sniper Rifle (identical specifications) with the possibility of more essays aufzustecken. For beginners but that does not matter anyway, because they have the additional essays anyway not yet been activated. The machete ... well, another bladed weapon precisely, of which there are always enough. Here I had hoped for something more from the DVD. But as I said, if only for the bonuses be worth the 8.99.
