Regarding the product itself, he arrived with a pastel broken end, the remains immaculate and very well packaged. The pdfs are not high and sending is faster than expected. Pastels are packed in a cardboard box classic for this kind of product strong enough to last (I recommend to keep all the packaging for conservation, including the outer part that slides). Inside we find:
_a protective paper
_a protective foam
_64 Dry half pastels a length of 27mm (so small)
_2 End pastels (a black white, black super break easily)
Pastels are presented through making them easy to grip.
For colors, the pictures give an idea. For my use, I find that there is a good selection of strong and light colors for highlights for example but not enough pale shades. For example we have 10 shades of blue but only one light blue and not gray. It lacks a lighter shade in every color. As against the bright colors are vibrant, a blue for example is really beautiful and a yellow and orange.
Note that the density differs pastels which is much less the case Faber-Castell: some are really fat while others are a little too hard for me. A big difference too: if the supply of Faber-Castell is 20 euro the complete set of 72 against 15 with the pdf here, those are 31mm to 20 euros. The two in any case are of good quality.
In fact if we really compare, this is not the price that you will use to choose but if like me you prefer the lighter shades to be closer to the model, better to turn to the full box home Faber-Castell. By cons if you like bright colors for less realistic effects but more vibrant to the eye, this set is a better choice. Both are comprehensive for landscapes but it is less obvious to the skies. And lacks one small lighter shade which allows to finish the details.
