Chronic: Deftones-White Pony: It is a far cry from the clichés of neo-metal album we delivered here Deftones, I myself am not on this album to be the neo-metal so their music is desired. On this album, Deftones calm the game and puts before hovering side of their music ("digital bath", "teenager", "change (in the house of flies)" ...). And what? The result is all just beautiful. The atmosphere is heavy, unhealthy throughout this cd pillar of neo-metal (?). But they put before the calm face of their music, it remains devastating pieces by their violence and energies that we made the group famous ("korea", "Knife Party", "elite" ...), these pieces also remind albums of deftones oldest such as adrenaline or around the fur. But what gives this touch of emotion, this transcendent side, especially singing Chino sometimes shouted, often sung, full of hate, but especially of love and passion. The icing on the cake rest without any hesitation the song "passenger" written and sung with the talented singer of Tool and A Perfect Circle, Maynard James Keenan, where the voice of Chino and Maynard intertwine, to finally explode and fly towards unexplored places that make this song almost, or even perfect. Sure, the initial fervor it's a bit worn off, but it's on the quieter songs the band has a new standard and proves that he is not only one of the creators of a kind often decried, but rather a very good group that brings us his reference album. 18/20 Spock
