I am generally not the picture quality fanatic - the quality is more than adequate for me as an amateur - and put more emphasis on handling.
- For still photography, I have no criticisms and am completely satisfied.
- The autofocus is quick and inaudible, with video at the telephoto position I often have to go manually, because the lens + camera caught the "wrong" area. In addition, the contrast AF gropes visible on moving objects approach, ie they are only blurred, short sharp again blurred and sharp. This is manually (with a lot of practice) more slowly but evenly. The touchscreen-focusing you can forget the movies anyway, because I have to concentrate on the movement and look mostly through the viewfinder.
A serious cameraman used anyway no autofocus. :-)
- The zoom ring is for filming to petulantly at slow zoom. Even with a focus ring with a long lever, it is possible not jerk me. Fast zoom function ok. Could possibly be a sign of wear, I started later with the films and to the new state can not say anything.
- Manual focus works very smooth. A finger is placed on the ring at the top enough. By focusing the ring clamps unfortunately (plastic).
- When the lens is held vertically downwards, it zooms about from the half itself out. Do you have to hold on, and then you no longer have a free hand to determine the focus ring.
- Before doing very slow movements when shooting on a tripod stabilizer better because this otherwise interpreted the move as wobbling and brings them to "stuttering". When filmed from the hand is the stability a big help.
