NAD promotes this device with the MDC (Modular Design Construction) technology. Using these it is possible to be part of the receiver hardware upgrade in the future, for example with newer HDMI or decoder standards. I'm curious. Would be a great way to get around to a new purchase. The T758 is the successor to the T757. The T758 supports both MDC for the video and the audio section. The T757 supports MDC only for the video section.
The T757 is thus reduced to anaolge amplifier technology and D / A conversion. And that it is good all the way to the intent of NAD's "Music First".
Who in a home cinema environment therefore has no audiophile expectations is certainly well advised with a mainstream receivers from Denon or Onkyo between 500 and 1000 euros. But if you have more demanding but will not invest Euro 1500 is possibly the little brother of the T757 the T747, which comes however without MDC and fewer watts per channel.
One should always keep in mind that come along with this so 7 amplifiers (7.1) at high sonic standards of a home theater receiver. So if 500Euro outputs for a stereo amplifier, or about 200 € per channel must be the 7 times, so spend 1400Euro to get equivalent performance with a home theater receiver!
Establishment and calibration of the T757 were very simple thanks to the very beutzerfreundlichen menu navigation. The sound is just awesome. That should then, however, without the otherwise usual functions can also be expected from a device in this price range.
The NAD T757 solves all frequencies on very fine and detailed. This one is normally accustomed only by good stereo amplifiers.
Previously I had a devil Komplettanlage Scene 5. I have the NAD first simply connected to this "cheap" Laustprecher and lo and behold, the sound was clear and detailed in order dimensions. No boomy bass more.
The headphone output is also very good. I tested with AKG Q701 Quincy Jones Reference Class Premium Headphones - black. The Q701 is a headset with about 64ohms impedance. The NAD T757 you have already turn up something in order to achieve acceptable levels of volume. Otherwise, no reason for complaint.
The next step is the devil speaker of motif 5 exchange against Nubert nuLine 24.
