Customer Review

Now I'm sitting here, writing the review and the closing credits of the game is not even 5 minutes before flickered across the screen. So what can I say? I am thrilled. I love this game and just celebrate it really. Rarely have I had in a game so often a feeling that was just right. Well, I do not want such a fanboy sound. Okay, I'm a true, but I will try nevertheless reproduce objective reasons to understand this.
I am now already for many years a big fan of the Alien movies, and the Xenomorph (so the aliens are called). Maybe not as long as some others, but certainly long enough to know this franchise very well. I have a whole drawer full of DVDs, games, books and comics. And several Sammlerfiguren. And so I did not come as a gamer, of course, around the numerous games. To put it briefly, I had never really felt me so in a like in the movies. Games like Alien Trilogy or Aliens: Infestation Although came approaching, but could I just ... I'd say 70 - 85% convincing. Although atmosphere came up mostly, but never 100%. And as a big fan of course I had immensely to the infamous aliens me the many years: happy Colonial Marines. Bin filled jumped with anticipation when the call of the local games shop was that I could pick up my pre-ordered copy. After all, Gearbox had promised an authentic conversion. One should feel like in the movie and get an official and full-fledged Story Moderate continued. And what came then? The biggest disappointment of my career gamer. We got a cheap 08/15 Shooter, on the Alien license's attitude applauded, with an action which was just grottig, thin, unloving and patchy illogical. I hated this game ... do it today (although the PC version is now bearable). Actually, I would as a fan lost hope in the Alien series, at least in the games area. But there was a glimmer of hope. One who was only a small lights of hope at the time of the Colonial Marines disaster and nobody was on the screen. Because there was at the time a few pointers that you are working on another game to Alien. And from Creative Assembly. But hope died slowly, because at that time we had heard good for 2 years no more of that. At some point a blurry, geleaktes image has appeared on which one has much recognized - namely nothing to be exact. But the little light of hope lit up again. And then the end of the year, out of nowhere, the unveiling. Alien: Isolation has been officially announced. And all sounded to be true almost too good. Only 1 Alien, real survival horror, the exact opposite of Colonial Marines as well as the daughter of Ellen Ripley (the protagonist of the films) as a main character, all oriented to the first Alien movie. Sega tried to save the franchise? It was not long, because all throughout the game have cut down at the beginning. It dismissed the fact that it again anyway only manure is. But I had stehts defended it. Clear, slightly skeptical I was yet. But it shut down, just because it is based on the same license? Sound for me is always exaggerated, since it anyway came from a completely different developers. More and more has been shown to play, the publication drew near, and it seemed to stay that was promised. Once again I had this joyful feeling when I thought of this game. I was happy again as well as once at Colonial Marines. Much text so far, but I want that one understands my position as a major supporter.

Here is the actual evaluation
Now it's here, I habs played through and decided to stay held what was promised? And how did that! I was blown away at the beginning. I started it and I was greeted by a simple menu with the original theme song from the first film. As a fan, just a beautiful moment. When I started it, and after a great, oriented to the first movie intro, I was in the game. The first big, positive surprise: it ran on my PC, which is also not the best now, at maximum settings completely liquid! So I'll be time for graphics. The biggest problem at Colonial Marines was yes: it did not even look nearly as good as the demos and trailers previously shown. And Alien: Isolation saw in the pictures incredibly well. And I can say that the game looks well just like on the material shown above. It's just a damn pretty game. While textures could be sharper at times, but just the lighting effects, easy places breathtakingly beautiful. Also the entire Artstyle, just incredibly great. I was always surprised by how faithfully we have stuck to the film. The whole computer sounds, everything from the movie. Many times I've caught myself as I just stood at a window and I looked out. The black starry sky, in the background a planet and the space station Sevastopol, on playing the game at a glance. This view I have enjoyed over and over again. Graphics and design could hardly be better. Alone here the game has earned the title of best game to Alien. You just noticed everywhere, how much have put in details the developers. That you really have to be big fans Alien itself. Even if it in for action or elsewhere references to things out of the franchise was otherwise ... one noticed, the developers have been successfully trouble. The sound is also just hammer. Music, just perfect. Again, everything fits held for the first Alien movie. Even occasional pieces from the film have run in the background. Or the already mentioned sound effects from the movie, whether any of these beeping of the computer or the alarm sound that you just have to know again. And it was just great, furchteinflösende moments when you sneaked through the dark corridors of Sevastopol and you only hear a beep of the motion sensor and then somewhere behind something removes the hiss of the aliens. Never before was so grateful for a desk, under which one could hide any. Oh, the alien. Is there really as promised just one thing? Yes and no, do not want to say so much because of spoilers. But you can rest assured you will never confronted with more than one. First of all, the alien looks incredibly good. Had seldom get the opportunity to look at it I just out of my hiding out. It's just damn implemented. Sometimes even more detailed than most characters I have standing here by the critters. Even otherwise, it is excellently implemented. Unlike Colonial Marines, where the aliens just jump stupid pilot rifle, it is really smart here. It is not simply so vorrausberechnete railways from. No, what about you can think of really, one has to do it here with an independently-minded opponent. Forget reviews which complain about it behaving unfairly. I can not sign. One just needs to just be careful and pay attention to the environment. As to such details when drool from a ventilation shaft in the ceiling drips. Then you should already be thinking that since the Alien lurking on a able. Whoever thinks otherwise, which should but then like to explain its position. But otherwise it was just great. It is located in an area that has a job to do, but the Alien sneaking around there. With palpitations you constantly look at the motion, pays attention to every sound and wants to hide behind each of the smallest box once one hour. Sure, later you will be a bit more secure and dare more. One then also has more equipment, with which one can drive out or distract the Alien shortly. That is a good thing that you do not all the time so under pressure. Otherwise I probably would have only once managed to the first half with difficulty. But the tension when the alien bad through the area, which always remains. One simply has to be always an uncomfortable feeling not safe anywhere. Just great! In addition to the Alien there are still people as enemies. While these appear not so often, but they are also dangerous opponents. For this you have firearms at hand. Because this can be different from the alien kill. One can with them but also sneak past, but this is very difficult. It is precisely this stupid not behave well. Otherwise you can kill them with firearms, but for which ammunition is more than seldom, or off in the melee. But hinrennen to each and slain course does not go well. For this one should lure out everyone somewhere. Otherwise, there is the opportunity to rush with noise detectors the alien to this. One way that I have used often. And then there are the worst enemies in the game: the Androids. These are much tougher than people and not really interesting for the Alien. If they have a once, they are pursuing a. There were moments, where they even almost annoyed. But if you keep moving, you should escape this, since they are not exactly quick. Unlike the alien when having a time, it's game over. Running away does certainly not. It is always faster. So should not you be caught up. Sometimes there were moments where you just run through corridors and nothing happens. In any other game these passages would have been boring. Alien: Isolation needs this but that you simply times comes a moment to rest. My biggest criticism really goes to the controller. Mouse and keyboard, I advise the same because this comes pretty cumbersome. Even with Controller is the thing not perfect. Play Knocked Up was controlling very strange. Just a little cumbersome and slow. But I quickly got used to it and it feels almost realistic to when an ordinary shooter control. Remember, we have a damn atmospheric and slower Survivel horror titles. The season was fine. At first I hoped that it will not be as long as the pressure in the vicinity of the aliens was really enormous. But when that had placed, I did not want it to stop. And at the end I can say that it has a decent length. Did it started on Tuesday and played about 3 hours a day on the day of publication. Exact season I can now no statistics do not say, but you can calculate yourself yes, so that's neat long. 12-15 hours as minimum, I would say. slowly I come better times for conclusion, as I could rave about the game on forever.

Conclusion:
Is it perfect as a game? Certainly not. Objectively speaking it has some weaknesses, be it now and then moments where nothing happens, androids annoying or something getting used to control. Is it the perfect Alien game? Everyone needs to decide for themselves. For me, it is that in any case with large distance from all other games in the franchise. Never a game was atmospheric, detail-, handsome and has a better packed to the Alien films in the mood of the films. It looks damn good, the Alien is in all respects great, the gameplay great and the atmosphere really enthralling and furchteinflösend. The Storyline is also great. Sure, it is not groundbreaking, but just great for an alien game and I hope that is counted as a continuation to the movies. So all in all the perfect game for me to the great Alien movies.
