In short, we are now 6 months in use, and are delighted. A few small flaws there, but we find it really better than more than twice as expensive Avent counterpart.
Pro:
- Long range (it has excellent reception even through 2 concrete ceilings, the Avent creates not this)
- The Klag is very good, no rattling or scraping (no background noise at the loudest level as the Avent)
- The charger for the parent unit is very convenient, can be easily put on it and invite to use until the next use
- It had never dropouts or errors or similar .. very reliable
- The louder and lower the volume of the transfer on the parent unit is not as loud as the penetrant Avent
- The intercom button located next to all the other keys, you do not get accidentally constantly off when one takes it (happened to me when Avent frequently, the baby has heard us ...)
Minus points for:
- There is no optical signal when the child begins to cry and had placed the baby monitor on silently. (I had to make time briefly silent, then have forgotten to do it again out loud. It will light while a light red, but it would be better if they would start to blink when the baby is crying. A sudden flashing light falls mostly likely to as a permanent red light)
- No hygrometer (for the price absolutely no exclusion criterion, if necessary, can be a normal hygrometer for ~ 12 put into the room)
- The supplied batteries are very very quickly empty. The baby monitor was at 5 clock in the morning all, although it has only taken the evening of 10 or 11 from the charging station. We bought purely just for 10 very good battery, problem solved.
- The blue light on the baby unit is very bright for small babies no problem, but for our large 3.5 until years already.. In her imagination, the blue light was suddenly a ghost. It lights up also unfortunately very badly. We have taped it with a small piece of cardboard and scotch. Even the nightmare was over;)
Conclusion:
We would buy the Alecto baby monitor again and recommend!
At first we were unsure whether a baby monitor for slightly less than 50 is any good, but we were pleasantly surprised. Since Alecto baby monitors, there is for us no good reason more to buy a baby monitor Avent. Mainly because of that because it is at least as good as the market leader, but only half cost.
Even though it is not a German instruction at, but I just could within 2 min. Find and download.
