Big problems with the connection to the Fritz box

I wanted to connect the two DECT phones at my Fritz box, which has an integrated DECT base. In this case, the Doro basis would have worked only as a charging station. While DECT is a standard, that did not work with this Doro. The phones must necessarily be enrolled to the Doro basis. Otherwise, show strange things: For incoming calls, the zero of the area code of the caller does not appear. You can see the time on the second unit not set (it is requested a code, but even though you enter the factory code, you will be rejected). It can not adjust the earpiece volume.
All this works only when one has logged both devices before in the (really unnecessary) Doro-base and only then registered additionally at the Fritz box. This method is a total nuisance and not corresponds to what is meant by DECT and expect.

And I also still following a negative impression:

1. The phone is configured in the basic position in French. The scrolling through the menu to the point "langue" is not easy. It is better to be found a menu for language selection at power equal to (or after the Reset Handset) would.

2. There is a menu item "direct dial", but which is not declared. No one can imagine what that is. In the manual which is also not to read. There is only, how to turn this feature on or off. With the telephone support from Doro I tasted and puzzled together. We have come nciht it, what is behind it.

3. No substitutions at several base stations. Eg if you have in the bedroom the Doro-base, in the living room but the Fritz box as a base, is no automatic change takes place. The display shows "no reach", and select one each time the menu the other base. What old people are because that can?

4. The charging station is unsuitable as a holder. Older people with shaky hands it is not possible to balance the handset in your cradle. The handset you have to pretty much plug, and then the thing is still very shaky. A larger or longer than bed cradle if it were meaningful.

5. There are too many buttons in the upper part. Seniors do not need the C key, one more R button. This is confusing. Suffice 1 rocker for phonebook (up and down). Who has the wrong number, which can hang up and redial. He does not need C button.

6. The phone lays on automatically. If one forgets after the phone call, to press the red "Handset hang up" button, the connection is no longer accessible. You have to call the neighbors or the Caritas, because you worried. Each mobile phone is so: If the other party hangs up, puts on his own cell phone also. When DECT telephone should at least after a certain period of inactivity (3 minutes) the handset will automatically be launched (ie, the function of the red handset button automatically enter).

Overall, it seems to me that with the Doro DECT phones for seniors are much less effort than, say, with the seniors phones that are really very, very well done. There is now a new model: Doro Magna 2000. As to not apply some of the negative points mentioned by me.
