February 2011, we said goodbye to our old simple microwave (9 years old) and have a nice multifunction microwave from Clartronic bought (MWG 775 H Microwave with grill and convection function). The design and features of this microwave have us there very impressed. Unfortunately, the microwave did not work. The food was never really hot. It took forever before the food was a bit warm.
In the operation instructions are only the contact details of the technical support (an Outsourcing Company: SLI, Radio Gren GmbH in Mönchengladbach) and an incorrect phone number of Clartronic. We went to the home of Clatronic and find there is no customer service phone number. Under 'Contact' is the telephone number of the headquarters. So we call then on (+49 2152 2006-0). We still have a warranty and wish to have a new microwave that works. Ideally, a few days later we send to the microwave radio Gren GmbH in Mönchengladbach. Five weeks later we get in an old box opened another microwave with a different serial number. The food was with this microwave a bit warm, but never hot. We have a new problem: The unit has made a loud noise like a helicopter.
So, we call again the central of Clartronic and want to talk with the customer service department, engineering department or with the sales. The lady in the center tells us there is no customer service, no engineering department and no sales department. So I ask anyone who can help me. Your answer is: "You must write a letter," and hangs up. I call once again on and ask the management. She hangs up again.
The money (about 90) we got back because the friendly and knowledgeable staff member from Amazon has helped us. Thanks to Amazon.
Conclusion: Clatronic is a rogue company. With such an unfriendly and incompetent service, I do not think Clatronic has a future.
