In 2048 the multinational company of "Mantel Global Industries" leads with its private army to war against a terrorist organization called "The Promise Hand". Through the specialization of "Mantel Global Industries" on Pharmaceuticals is to make them possible their soldiers by a powerful drug. All this makes of "Haze" a game with content, but it would have been much more content if these sequences would have been (and generally more in-game content via shell) integrated in the game. The story and the story history are quite interesting, and if you're not (really no) knowledge also surprising and exciting (therefore no spoilers from me in this review). However, the story is only through in-game sequences in ego perspective tells (so to speak in game graphics and only through the eyes of Carpenters). You get a lot of, but you can learn quite a bit about it all around it, just generally over the "Mantel Global Industries". Here you can help out with the help of the website and various videos, but I find it damn shame that nothing was it integrated into the game. Even if what is offered is very good, but a lot more potential would have been available.

Game Technically you get with "Haze" a shooter in its purest form. As Shane Carpenter you are thrown straight into the fray and gets with propaganda texts the advantages of "nectar" explained. The campaign offers many different scenarios and thus never boring because you will be promoted also by the interesting story. As the game progresses (without too much spoilers want to) come other features added (while others are no longer available), which must be used urgently to higher levels in order to survive. Only God knows how "nectar" acts, can survive.

Technically makes "Haze" a good, sometimes even a very good impression. Great lighting effects, and useful soft motion blur and smoke effects grandiose draw a colorful future scenario. Characters are well modeled and the soldiers see class. Also texture Technically there is not much to complain about. However, some high-res textures are often accompanied by times quite muddy textures. Sometimes it almost seems as if here a texture has been forgotten or not properly resolved. Somewhat annoying is certainly late "einploppen" the textures (as each of Unreal Engine 3 games knows on the consoles). Here no "popping" While this one, but "appear" or they will slow sharply. On the audio side "Haze" brute DTS provides 5.1 support. Thundering, dynamic and powerful. The English voices are very good (the dt. Are good, but far less intense, powerful and also weakened considerably in their meaning).

Even though I was skeptical before I am now of the opinion that the online mode is very good but rebalanced. However, in order to advance should take no story progressions you the multiplayer mode (except co-op course) play only if you have completed the campaign. In addition, there are still some rankings and "Awards" at the end of a game (even if they are "awards" I understand not saved and only serve to overview).

All this is "Haze" and I satisfied. "Haze" is far from perfect, but what's the most ever. A straighter shooter, with interesting story, good art and pleasant online offer. It's just fun, not boring and, thanks to Co-Op motivation for further passages.

Note: This review is based on the uncensored US version and the English version was the uncensored version will be preferred in any case as a clear "rounder" overall picture gives off (I have played both versions). The US version has only the original sound track.
