DELIVERY:
This was carried out as always quite quick by Amazon. The article carton is additionally not once packed, but comes as quasi bought from the retail warehouse.
UNPACKING & CONNECTING:
Unpacking is simple but also quite extensive, because there are quite a few parts (more Fußblatten, legs, boxes) that want to be exempted from all over the foil, etc.. For each Component is packed but first class and above all safe. Finally, all parts of the 5.1 system in the fresh air, it's also going to go on Connect. And here I came already on first imperfections. First of all, all the cables are securely connected to the speakers, which means, one is bound when installing the LS to the length of the cable. And who does not know this: When you shift a cable tidy times, rich 10 meters suddenly only for 5 meters distance. In addition then still something fumbling, because the cables of the four column speakers will initially be led by a quite thin shaft of the supporting leg. Is this finally also managed the rest is but child's play. Each port is color coded and also the boxes are also marked. Thus, the connection itself, takes only a few seconds. In terms of processing, incidentally also nothing to complain about there.
DESIGN:
Of course, as always, a matter of taste, but a few words from me:
The so-called Quartz design (consisting of matt and glossy black surfaces) looks quite pretty, is for my taste but also a bit too playful. Because the design was actually incorporated into every element, even in the player. Sometimes less is more in my eyes. The service boxes are the way of three parts (speaker, leg, bottom panel) and are assembled, amazingly light what is true of their size, even for the center and the subwoofer. The player is in terms of design, apart from the Quartz-corners, whereas EHR kept simple. A little highlight is again the built, small white light on the front, which changes the intensity when you regulate the volume, for example.
COMMISSIONING & MENU NAVIGATION
What I personally here equal negatively noticeable: There is no Einmessmicro at. So there must be everything (boxes distance, level) can be set manually. In addition, stupid: All this can only be done from the main menu. There is no function that you can show in the film to live to make changes and therefore can be quite time eating the whole cheese. The menu itself is also in this Sony system in the rest towards PS3 (but unfortunately not as nice modern), is clear and the other start-up goes after setting always fast out of hand.
Oh yes: The volume of the player by the way consistently pleasant.
IMAGE & SOUND:
Did you finally brought all the starting procedure behind him, it can also go to the movies already. Were taken to test, among other things The Hobbit - An Unexpected Journey 3D (+ Blu-ray) [Blu-ray 3D] and Transformers 3 - Dark of the Moon (+ Blu-ray 3D) [Blu-ray]. And what can I capitalize: The image is sharp crack, very plastic and filled my personal requirements, both in Full HD and in 3D area, across the board. No differences, such as the PS3.
In the area of the sound I'm also surprised positively. The four tower speaker provide for their flat plastic construction (which of course you have some drawbacks) really good job respectively clean, clear sounds and a neat spatial 5.1 sound because the whole set of four large LS is. However, it lacks the Tonbringern clearly on downs, but this makes the combination with the small, but quite powerful subwoofer up for it. Only the Centre has always something to nibble on and impresses mostly by right-tabs, tinny sound.
REMOTE CONTROL:
Which is to be honest not a beauty, but it is useful. Logically structured and arranged, not too big and not too small. Everything is great to reach on the spot and - fulfills the purpose.
OTHERS:
- The subwoofer does not have its own power supply and runs only by using the BD player. He also can not calibrate the housing, but only on the player.
CONCLUSION:
In my eyes, the BDV-E6100 is a very recommendable Complete with four large state-LS, which transport a pleasant 5.1 sound in the room and make her a lot in terms of size. Even if one is also still straightforward and likes all the components in one big package, this set is a view here definitely worth it. But one should not forget just that here are no individual speakers with an AVR. This is still a complete system with 5 flat speakers, a subwoofer and a 3D Blu-ray player for currently just under 500. But but you get quite a bit of entertainment on offer. Price / performance ratio so, so I give it 5 stars.
