- As opposed to the old Rider lacks the ability to show map North Up
- The on-screen compass can no longer be pointing to the target one, he always points north.
- The Navi can now operate normally even while driving, overall ease of use has improved greatly towards motorcycle (Zoom, Quick menu, 2D / 3D)
- The detailed view (Visible Satellite) missing
- Software installation, OS and update maps quickly and easily (XP)
- Navi does not replace the brain when one wants to send the winding route across Nuremberg one has to manually plan a route and include one or two destinations outside the city with - you do not move directly to them, but can while driving with "Next Waypoint "convenient to the next destination of the route to navigate when it deems fit
- Otherwise delivers the winding route interesting results, even in areas of which one thought one knows ;-)
would be nice if you (Curvaceous / agent / straightening) could indicate instead the slider to how much% the winding route warehouses (or longer) may - unfortunately wishful thinking, the extended travel time must be taken into account.
- Unfortunately, you can (in contrast to competitors [eg Falk]) display any altitude
- Nice: Routes can be recorded and pass / descendants
- The timeliness of the cards is grottig, despite map update. Examples that I noticed on the first day (for comparison, you can also use the online maps from TomTom and Map24 compare):
+ Roundabout in Behringersdorf On Kohlschlag / Günthersbühler road missing
+ Roundabout in Diepersdorf Schwaigerstrasse / Laufer Straße missing
+ At the B466 / St2220 (Schwabach - Gunzenhausen and Windsbach - Abenberg) is now also a roundabout, but the competitors also do not yet know.
+ Südosttangente Ansbach B13 -> At the calibration is missing! The was completed in 2 years and long at the 2km - and traffic-technically very interesting!
+ The POIs are very mixed, in some categories (doctor, hospital) seems the cover to be good, in other (viewpoint) is found in the next 200km distance - Nuremberg, Rothenburg, Franconian Switzerland: Wrong!
+ You can edit the cards themselves and take on other Sharen or the corrections of the other ... I myself am rather cautious. A recent official map would me much better!
Why still 5 stars?
The Urban Rider is a rugged device with a good battery for a fair price. For motorcyclists the navigation along winding routes at the moment is probably a unique selling point. For cash is missing features can be retrofitted as an active holder, so that one is still in the price category comparable Motorcycle Navis.
